Preschool & Elementary Director
POSITION TYPE:
Full Time
​
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
​Reporting directly to the Program & Operations Director, this position focuses on developing, implementing, and leading programs to support Christian faith formation and academic enrichment for preschool through elementary aged children.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
​

Collaborate closely with the Executive Director, Program & Operations Director, children’s ministry partners, literacy non-profit partners, school administrators, and volunteer leaders to develop year-round program plans, goals, budgets, objectives, and strategies.

Develop processes and procedures to drive consistency and set expectations for volunteers and staff supporting assigned areas.

Oversee the implementation of programs to include utilization of grant funding in accordance with award specifications.

Establish relationships with quality preschool partners to identify openings and coordinate enrollment.

Collaborate with literacy partners to develop “out of school” curriculum focused on building confidence and promoting a love of learning.

Integrate faith-based materials and themes into literacy programs and plan Christ-centered gatherings for children to grow in their faith and build community.

Track participation and other data, set benchmarks, measure outcomes, and capture feedback from families and partners to continually evaluate program effectiveness to make informed decisions about what is working well and areas requiring improvement.

Cultivate relationships with families to develop trust and walk alongside them to nurture and advocate for their children.

Support recruitment, on-boarding, and on-going communication with volunteers to keep them informed, engaged, and appreciated.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Christian character with ability to articulate personal faith journey

Degree in early education or related field with classroom experience a plus

Youth Director

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Reporting directly to the Program & Operations Director, this position focuses on developing, implementing, and leading programs to support Christian faith formation and academic enrichment for middle school through
high school aged children.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:

Collaborate closely with the Executive Director, Program & Operations Director, youth ministry partners, school administrators, and volunteer leaders to develop year-round program plans, goals, budgets, objectives, and strategies.

Develop processes and procedures to drive consistency and set expectations for volunteers and staff supporting assigned areas.

Oversee the implementation of programs to include utilization of grant funding in accordance with award specifications.

Establish relationships with school administrators at designated schools.
-
Coordinate weekly “out of school” sessions to help students complete homework assignments and build their confidence.
-
Establish guidelines for the “myPath” program to create opportunities for students to work with a mentor to help them
explore and prepare for post-graduation opportunities.

Integrate faith-based materials and themes into programs and plan Christ-centered gatherings for youth to grow in their faith and build community.

Administrative & Communications Coordinator
POSITION TYPE:
Part Time (25-30 hours per week)

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Reporting directly to the Program & Operations Director, this position focuses on welcoming and assisting Caterpillar Ministries families, providing administrative support for staff and volunteers, and coordinating internal and external communication.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
​

Collaborate closely with the Executive Director, Program & Operations Director, and staff to coordinate office hour coverage, support recurring and special events, and communicate timely and professional updates.
-
Create and deliver communication updates to neighbors and external partners through social media, email, phone call, and “remind” texts.
-
Welcome families and assist with intake, needs assessment, and to invite them to participate in programs and events.
-
Assist families with referrals to external partners for services, such as food assistance and clothing support and in scheduling appointments with others on team Caterpillar as needed.
-
Ensure consistent and strict adherence to processes and guidelines for protecting the privacy of our families.

Track interactions with families, volunteers, community partners and assist staff and volunteers in tracking participation in programs and events.

Collaborate and support staff and volunteer leaders in planning and preparing for recurring programs and special events.
-
Assist the volunteer coordinator in processing new applications, scheduling and promoting volunteer opportunities, and communicating with volunteers.

Ensure facilities are stocked with paper products, cleaning supplies, and other materials needed for day-to-day operations.

Receive and track donations, organize storage and plan for distribution as needed.
-
Provide additional support as requested.
